Symptoms of STDs in Women
In women, symptoms of common STDs may include pain or burning during urination, abnormal vaginal discharge, bloody vaginal discharge, pain in the abdomen, spotting, itching, blisters, fever, swollen glands, open sores, and warts. Some STDs, like chlamydia and gonorrhea, cause no symptoms. If your sexual partner has been diagnosed with an STD, testing yourself is vital to prevent complications such as infertility and certain types of cancer.
Symptoms of STDs in Men
Men with STDs may experience discharge from the urethra, pain during urination, inflammation of the testicles or prostate, fever, or sores. Untreated STDs put you at risk for organ failure, infertility, and even brain damage. If you have an STD, your sexual partners are at risk of transmission, so the only way to protect them is to refrain from sexual activity until diagnosis and treatment are completed.

Erin Hill, DO
Gynecologist
Dr. Erin Hill, a New Yorker by birth, has been in rural Oklahoma since early childhood. Her undergraduate education was completed at University of Tulsa and she went on to Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine to obtain her medical degree. Her residency in OB/Gyn Surgery was completed at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. Dr. Hill has been practicing in the Tulsa area since 2007.
In 2012, after the delivery of her own sixth child, Dr. Hill decided to work part-time and eliminated obstetrics from her practice. This change allowed her to balance her career with her family. As a result, she was able to enjoy the gynecologic aspect of the specialty that easily gets overshadowed with obstetric demands. She discovered that she enjoys helping women understand their bodies and navigating the transitions of womanhood through the lifespan.
Dr. Hill lives in the Tulsa area with her husband. They have 5 children at home and one that has been successfully launched with two children of his own. Dr. Hill and her family attend Sojourn church in Tulsa. She enjoys any activity involving her kids and grandkids, as well as reading and traveling–always driving, never flying.
