Jason Kearns, PA-C

Jason was born and raised in southeast Kansas. He decided to pursue a career in medicine at a young age. This was sparked by his many doctor visits and hospitalizations as he suffered from asthma as a child. He graduated in 2010 from Wichita State University with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Following graduation, he went back to his hometown and worked for 8 years in orthopedic surgery with a private practice group in Parsons, KS. While there, the group also helped with sports medicine for the local high school athletic teams. After 5 years of focusing on orthopedic surgery, he started moonlighting in the evenings and weekends at the local urgent care and emergency department.

In 2018, he moved to northwest Kansas and practiced rural medicine in Atwood, KS. There he served as a family practice provider, hospitalist, and emergency room provider. In 2021, he moved back to the four-state area and joined Xpress Wellness at their Miami, OK clinic. Jason has been a board-certified Physician Assistant since 2010. He holds certifications in Basic Life Support CPR as well as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He has taken specialized classes in PICC line
insertion, wound care management, and NIH Stroke Scale.

When not working, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling and spending time outdoors with their 4 dogs.
