          • Bite or puncture wounds

When should you go to the emergency room?

          • Heart attack symptoms
                • For men, this includes chest or jaw pain and pain in left arm
                • Women are less likely to have the chest, left arm or jaw pain and should look for shortness of breath, sudden dizziness, weakness or nausea, unexplained sweating and fatigue.
          • Signs of a stroke
              • Sudden numbness or weakness
              • Sudden speech difficulties
              • Trouble seeing out of one or both eyes Unexpected dizziness or loss of balance
              • Excruciating headache
          • Blow to the head resulting in loss of consciousness, seizure or vomiting Unexplained loss of consciousness or fainting
          • Bleeding that doesn’t stop when applying pressure for 10–20 minutes
          • Serious burns
          • Sudden disorientation or confusion
          • Unexplained fever in children less than 6 months old
